Narcisus Lamp

The Narcissus lamp by Savvas Laz is a composition of geometrical shapes that captures a collapsing moment, or an absolute yet peculiar balance. The inclined polished-metal surface mirrors both the light source and the object’s geometry, allowing the light to “flirt” with its own brilliance. The project blurs the boundaries between sculpture and function, in a way that it can also stand as an art object even when it’s turned off.

Developed during a design workshop as part of the MAS in Design for Luxury & Craftsmanship course, ÉCAL, led by Michael Anastassiades.
